Technology Inventory

Find out what technologies are available in his/her classroom. (this can include non-computer items too like: digital cameras, vcr players, electronic toys, tape recorders, etc.)

1) She has two computers in her classroom (and she has one of her own), she has leap frog programs, a tape recorder/listening center, an overhead, a tv/vcr, a palm pilot for a reading assessment that they do, a smartboard (interactive white board), a dvd player, student laptops, and she has access to a digital camera.

Find out what technologies the teacher wishes he/she had in the classroom.

2) She said that the school has great resources of technology and she has everything she would ever need to use. She said that they had so many different technologies that she doesn't even use them all and she couldn't think of anything else she would need.

Find out how the teacher uses technology to get ideas and prepare materials for the classroom?

3) She uses the internet for various reasons; ideas, worksheets, reading assesment (DIBELS), and uploading grades. The students use the computer as a center (online reading websites), and she uses the overhead for whole group activities (as needed). She uses the tape player for their basal stories each week, and the students use the leap frog as an intervention.

Does your school have any other technology outside of the classroom?

4) She said the school has student computers in the pods (computer labs outside of the classroom) that have various programs for reading, writing and math; they also have internet access.
